Where to buy European food in Bali in 2026: dairy, cheese, groceries and delicacies

Updated 4 September 2026. Bali has familiar cheeses, yoghurt, butter, bread, grains, nuts, sauces and delicacies, but stock is not the same in every area. Some European-style products are made in Indonesia, while imported items can disappear from the shelves. It is better to choose a nearby supermarket, a specialist dairy shop and a delivery option than to rely on one secret store.

Dairy products: MilkUp

MilkUp focuses on dairy and deli products. Its catalogue includes cow's and goat's milk, kefir, yoghurt, cottage cheese, butter, cheese, coconut products, baked goods and sugar-free options. When checked, the shop listed goat kefir 650 ml at IDR 59,000, coconut yoghurt 330 ml at IDR 61,000, Greek yoghurt 330 ml at IDR 86,000 and cottage cheese 400 g at IDR 99,000.

These were catalogue prices checked on 4 September 2026, not a permanent price list. Check the product page, stock, minimum order and delivery area before paying. The site also lists a Sunset Road location in Legian; confirm delivery to other areas through the official store.

Cheese, yoghurt and fresh milk: BaliDairy

BaliDairy is a local producer of fresh dairy. The company lists more than 25 cheeses in European styles, including Brie, Camembert, Tilsiter and Manchego, plus yoghurt and pasteurised milk. It is a good option when you need cheese and dairy rather than a large general supermarket.

At the time of checking, the official Where to Buy page listed stores in Canggu, Ubud, Jimbaran and Sanur, generally open daily from 09:00 to 17:00. Confirm the address and stock before travelling.

General supermarkets: Pepito and Frestive

Pepito, together with its Popular and Gourmet Market formats, is useful for a full grocery shop: fresh food, meat, fish, bakery items, ready meals, drinks and some imported products. The chain says it has more than 40 stores across Bali and Lombok, and its site directs customers to Grab for nearby-store delivery. Stock differs by branch, so confirm rare products before making a special trip.

Frestive lists Bali stores in Canggu, Batu Bolong, Seminyak, Pererenan, Kerobokan and Ubud. Its store page gives opening hours of 07:00–22:00 and lists fresh food, food and drinks, household goods and delivery. It is a useful first stop when you need an international-style basket as well as ordinary groceries.

Pantry items and special diets: Bali Buda

Bali Buda is a shop and café focused on natural, organic, vegan and gluten-free products. It is not strictly an imported-food store, but it is useful for nut butters, grains, sauces, chocolate, sauerkraut, desserts and alternatives to familiar ingredients. The site offers delivery on Bali and ordering through Gojek.

When checked, the catalogue showed peanut butter at IDR 54,000, sauerkraut at IDR 59,000 and ghee at IDR 195,000. Prices are tied to individual product pages and can change, so check ingredients, size and stock.

Caviar and delicacies by pre-order

Small suppliers on Instagram often offer caviar and other rare foods instead of regular supermarkets. The original article listed Caviar Bali and Ikra na Bali. Treat these as contacts to verify yourself, not as a guarantee of stock, price or free delivery. Confirm date, weight, storage, delivery and payment, and avoid sending a full payment to an unfamiliar seller without checking them.

How to search without wasting trips

  • Use a specific map search such as cheese, cottage cheese, sour cream, rye bread, European groceries or the exact product name.
  • Check recent reviews, opening hours and the actual branch address, not just the rating.
  • For chilled food, ask about expiry dates, delivery temperature and travel time.
  • Do not rely on an old dollar conversion: compare the final amount in rupiah with the product page on the day you order.
  • If you are staying in Ubud, Amed, Canggu or the south of the island, check the nearest shop and delivery fee first. A trip for one jar can cost more than the product.

Quick choice: MilkUp for milk, kefir, yoghurt and cottage cheese; BaliDairy for cheese and fresh dairy; Pepito or Frestive for a full shop; Bali Buda for natural pantry goods and special diets; Instagram suppliers for rare delicacies after your own checks. European food is available in Bali, but it is best treated as a changing catalogue rather than a guaranteed list.
