Negara is the administrative centre and regency capital of Jembrana in western Bali. The name can refer to the urban centre as well as Kecamatan Negara, the wider district represented on this page. That distinction matters when comparing a place to live, a service or a job: this page is not a directory for all of Jembrana Regency, and a result elsewhere in the regency may be a very different distance from the centre.
Kecamatan Negara includes four urban villages—Baler Bale Agung, Banjar Tengah, Lelateng and Loloan Barat—and eight villages: Banyubiru, Baluk, Cupel, Pengambengan, Tegal Badeng Barat, Tegal Badeng Timur, Kaliakah and Berangbang. The central wards and the settlements farther out serve different routines. Check the named kelurahan or desa in each address rather than treating “Negara” as one compact neighbourhood.
Pasar Umum Negara is one clear anchor for everyday commerce. The regency manages it as a public market and describes its role in local trade and small businesses. Someone who wants to be near shops and daily activity may search differently from someone looking for a home in a quieter village or a workspace with room for deliveries. Market-related offers, food, retail work and nearby services all depend on the exact part of the district.
Road connections help explain Negara’s role. The Denpasar–Gilimanuk corridor and central streets such as Jalan A. Yani and Jalan Udayana form part of the area’s primary road network. This makes the district relevant to people travelling across western Bali as well as residents moving between villages and the administrative centre. It does not make every address equally convenient: check the route for the actual destination, and confirm current travel conditions before setting a schedule.
There are two easy name confusions to avoid. Negara is the capital centre within Jembrana Regency; Kecamatan Negara is the district around it. Kecamatan Jembrana is a separate neighbouring district in the same regency, and neither district name means the whole regency. When an offer says only “Jembrana” or “Negara”, look for the village or ward as well as the district so that distance and service area are clear.
For a longer stay, think about what you need to reach regularly: the market and public offices, the main road, work, schools or services closer to a particular village. A home near the centre can suit a different daily pattern from a place in Pengambengan, Cupel or Berangbang. Search by the task first, then compare the address, transport and surroundings; a district-wide label alone cannot tell you whether a place fits your routine.
This page brings together private and local listings for Kecamatan Negara. You can post your own offer or look for housing, work, transport, a service or other useful local information. Use the village or urban-ward name to narrow the results: the district is the shared area, but the details that make an offer suitable are often much more local.
