Penglipuran Traditional Village

Penglipuran is a living customary village in Bangli, known for its central lane, traditional family compounds and bamboo landscape. Residents still live here; visit as a guest, respect their privacy and do not treat homes or people as exhibits.

From 1 January 2026, visitors are offered structured visit packages. The basic experience includes a village walk, an introduction to local life and three characteristic buildings; a second option adds a local guide. The guide option costs extra, but published sources do not state the supplement. Ask at the ticket counter. Ask residents before entering private homes or photographing people.

Published basic visit-package rates per person: Indonesian citizens — adult IDR 25,000, child IDR 15,000; foreign visitors — adult IDR 50,000, child IDR 30,000.
