Remote

Remote is a special location option in the Bali directory, not a town or area on the island. It is intended for information that is not tied to one physical address: a job or service can be handled remotely. Choosing Remote therefore does not mean that a provider or customer is based in a particular part of Bali.

This can suit remote jobs, freelance projects, online consultations, digital services and other work that does not require an in-person visit. It is less appropriate when the offer depends on meeting at a shop, home or venue, or travelling to a customer's address; in those cases, a specific Bali location gives people a clearer idea of where the service is available.

When considering a remote offer, look at what can actually be done online, who can take part, and whether language, working hours or time zones matter. A job may require overlap with a team's schedule; a consultation may be available only in certain languages; and a digital service may still have limits on the countries or clients it can support. Check the announcement; remote does not necessarily mean available everywhere.
