Tenganan Pegringsingan Village

Tenganan Pegringsingan is a living Bali Aga village in Manggis, Karangasem, not a museum. Local families live here; visitors are asked to register and make a donation at the southern entrance. The sources checked give no fixed entry amount.

The village is known for geringsing cloth made with double ikat. Indonesia’s Ministry of Tourism lists the Tour Desa village tour and a separate Tenun Gringsing programme about the textile and its making. Each has a published starting price from Rp250,000.

These are programme prices, not entry tickets. The source does not say whether the price is per person or group, or what is included: confirm availability, inclusions and current cost with the organiser. Parking is listed, but no fee is published.

Tenganan is a living community with its own customs. Ceremony dates vary; rituals are not daily performances. Follow residents’ guidance and ask permission before photographing people, homes or rituals.
