Taman Ujung Water Palace — Karangasem's royal water complex

Taman Soekasada Ujung is a former royal water complex in Tumbu, Karangasem. It began in 1901 as Kolam Dirah; in 1909 the king ordered its development as a royal retreat. Dutch architect Van Den Hentz, Chinese architect Loto Ang and local craftspeople shaped the design. The grounds feature three pools, bridges and pavilions overlooking the coast and hills.

Admission under Karangasem Regency's official 2026 tariff: WNA (foreign visitors) — adult IDR 100,000, child IDR 75,000; WNI (Indonesian citizens) — adult IDR 35,000, child IDR 25,000; adult with a Bali KTP — IDR 25,000. Children under 6 enter free. No rate is listed for foreign visitors aged 60 or over; check at the ticket office.

Photo shoots: IDR 2,200,000 for international shoots and IDR 1,100,000 for domestic shoots; confirm terms with the operator. Parking is absent from the 2026 tariff. An older tourism-office article lists IDR 5,000 per car; verify on site.
